Sometimes a kitchen needs help. It doesn’t have enough cabinets or counter space. Theirs is no wall space to build cabinets. There is really no eating space in the kitchen. When this is the case with a kitchen, the answer is the Breakfast Bar Cart which is mobile and very versatile. You can purchase a small cart or the larger sizes depending on what you have room for in your kitchen. The advantage of a Breakfast Bar Cart is that you can leave it sitting in the middle of the kitchen and use it as an island. If you really don’t want to leave it in the middle of the kitchen all of the time, you may find a nook to store it in until you need to use it. If you have a large pantry, you may be able to store there. Depending on what size Breakfast Bar cart that you have.
The mobile Breakfast Bar is very convenient for preparing food on. You can also store small appliances on it such as a toaster, or mixer that you need to keep out for temporary use. You can also use the mobile Breakfast Bar cart to serve refreshments to guests when you are entertaining family or friends.
The mobile Breakfast Bar cart can be moved to the deck or patio for serving purposes also. The Breakfast Bar usually has drop down sides that can be raised to expand the surface area. It will also have some storage beneath it.
It you have room for a large Breakfast Bar cart it can be used as a kitchen island and left as a stationary fixture.
Sometimes a Breakfast Bar consists of a bistro type table and a couple of chairs, which will fit into a corner of the kitchen, and give you a space to sit and eat a small meal or have your coffee there in the mornings while you read your morning newspaper.
Another idea is to a have small corner booth with a bench against the wall and use two chairs on the outside of the table. You can use the table to eat on or to prepare food.
The most lavish and convenient of the Breakfast Bars is the kitchen island Breakfast Bar. You not only have the island counter top to prepare food and the storage underneath, but you have the breakfast bar attached for an eating surface and a place to store the kitchen bar stools underneath. This of course is the ideal breakfast bar, but you do need to have the room in the center of your kitchen to accommodate this type of kitchen furniture.
With any breakfast bar that you choose to add to your kitchen, you will want to coordinate the style of the furniture with what you already have. If your kitchen cabinets have a contemporary style you will want to match that. Or if you have cabinets stained in a dark color, then you would want your breakfast bar to be made of dark wood also.
